Obtaining a student visa to study in Australia

If you wish to come to Australia to study with Basair then you can obtain a student visa.

This visa will be valid for 14 months and allows you to study, plus you can apply for permission to work up to 20 hours per week part time as well.

The steps to obtaining your visa are as follows:

  • Complete your application form for joining Basair. The application form is supplied with information we e-mail or mail to you. The correct form is Form "I-10". You can also download a form here.

  • Send your completed application form along with the additional documents listed on page 3 of the application form to Basair as soon as possible. You can fax your application to Basair to help start your application processing.

  • We will issue a Letter of Offer outlning the next steps you must take to secure your place on the course. This will include the payment of your course deposit.

  • Once you have confirmed your place on the course we will be able to issue you with a Confirmation of Enrolment which yoou can take to the Australian Embassy to apply for your student visa.

  • Complete a visa application form. You can obtain one by downloading from here, or from an Australian Embassy or Consulate (see below). You can also download an information booklet about obtaining your student visa.

  • You will normally be required to undertake a medical examination for your visa. It is wise to try and join this with your aviation medical.
